PRICE OR NUMBER OF HOUSES?
The market continues to cool down in the Vancouver metro area due to higher interest rates. The Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver said: 46.4% down from the same time last year and 9.8% down from August. Compared to the 10-year average, they are down 37.5%. So fewer people buy homes and a little increase in the number of sellers.
So right now the market is in transition. Potential buyers are being stymied by both interest rates and broad inflation trends that are making everything from food to fuel more expensive in the province. The drop in demand is increasing available supply and driving prices down.
THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS WHAT YOU REALLY WANT? IF YOU WANT TO JOIN THE REAL ESTATE MARKET, THIS TIME IS INTERESTING. We're coming out of a period of record sales and those are tough times for buyers. In the past we didn't have much time to make decisions, there was a lot of competition about selling fewer homes. It's a completely different thing in today's market. YOU SHOULD WORK WITH REALTOR IMMEDIATELY FOR BEST SUPPORT AND CONSULTING
